Consumer Education / Parent Referrals Provides information on local child care options, including referrals to child care centers, family child care homes, half-day preschools, after-school programs, and/or nanny services. A counselor also provides information on the NC child care licensing system and details on how to recognize and choose a quality child care program. Contact: Partners for Children & Families (910) 949-4045 Ext. 103 Child and Adult Care Food Program (C.A.C.F.P.) Provides reimbursement to qualified family child care home providers for meals and snacks served to participating children in their care. The program ensures that eligible children receive nutritious food throughout the day. Provides information and training for potential and existing family child care home providers on licensing requirements, business practices, and quality early care and education practices. Contact: Partners for Children & Families (910) 949-4045 Ext. 104 Child Care Centers (C.C.C.) Provides technical assistance to child care center teachers, directors, and owners regarding NC licensing standards and creating quality early care and education environments. The program coordinates training opportunities for child care providers and covers topics such as health and safety, developmentally appropriate practices, and curriculum implementation. PfCF does not evaluate, license, endorse, recommend, approve, or assure quality of the child care programs referred to customers. Customers are the most qualified to make decisions regarding the best program for their children and families. Fee: Consumer Education and Referral services are offered at no charge to customers. Confidentiality: Partners for Children & Families is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all of their customers’ personal information and records. Customer Complaints: Partners for Children & Families is committed to providing high quality services to all customers. Program Complaints: Partners for Children & Families is not a monitoring agency. PfCF does not investigate complaints. When PfCF receives a complaint that violates NC licensing rules and regulations or involves child abuse and neglect, the customer is encouraged to register the complaint directly with the appropriate monitoring agency. When PfCF receives notice from DSS and/or NCDCD that a complaint has been made against a program and an investigation is pending or a provisional, special provisional, or probationary license has been issued to the facility, PfCF places the facility in “no referrals” status until PfCF receives a closure letter from NCDCD.
